Got Head?

My brilliant girlfriends threw me a dinner party last night for my birthday - and two of them chipped in to buy me this Crystal Head Vodka, made by Dan Aykroyd! If you check out the website, there's a neat 5min video of Dan talking about the vodka and the mystery of the crystal heads. Plus - did you know this vodka is filterd through crystals known as Herkimer Diamonds?

My hostess last night is from Bangladesh, and so we had a beautiful meal, with a beef curry, a shrimp dish, a gorgeous rice (palau) and a bahjee (veggie dish.) With all the fuss we were making over her food, she even offerred to give us a cooking class one afternoon!

Also, in the pile of presents from my friends, was a necklace with an opal leaf on it, pumpkin dishes, a book, and season 3 of Dexter on DVD! I am a spoiled-rotten Virgo!

Just a reminder too, that today is the last day for you to enter my birthday giveaway - so if you haven't yet, post a comment with your name or blog so I can enter you in tomorrow's draw! I can't wait to draw 3 of your names!

I would love that vodka. Dan Aykroyd was down here at one of our casinos when his vodka came out. He seems like a really nice guy.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time and some wonderful birthday goodies!

A friend of mine just emailed me about this. Her nephew bought 6 bottles and had Dan sign them in Philadelphia (plus a real Ghostbuster's proton pack from the 80's)! I would die for just one bottle, unsigned. Heck, I don't even need the vodka, I just want the bottle!

Oh - I am so amazed at that crystal head vodka. What a great gift! I checked out the video - then spent the next two hours surfing around links and web sites about the crystal heads! So neat! What a terrific b-day gift! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow - full of joy and blessings. I left a birthday card for you on my blog.
Enjoy your day ! :)

I did a post in August on this most fantabulous Crystal Head as well. My hubby bought me mine after it showed it to him on The Frog Queen's post. I had forgotten about it, but he remembered and I was so delighted! Happy belated birthday to you! :o)

I have never seen that Vodka! Very cool. Max the Crystal Skull comes to visit a small shop called the Crystal Connection near me 2x/year. He is one of the 13! The power he contains is absolutely astonishing :)
