Got Pumpkins?

This is but a few pictures of our pumpkin-hunting excursion this weekend. My camera died on me, so I'm waiting for my neice to email the rest of the photos she took at the other stops we made. It was a rainy day on Saturday, but we found some wonderful pumpkins and squash at several farm stands. Plus, I had to stop at the Dutch farm stand, where the owner makes the best old-fashioned Dutch shortbread on the planet!

We came home with a dozen pumpkins - but my neices took 4 home, so I'm left with a measly 8 - giggle! I'm sure I'll find another one or two before Halloween.

We had a nice Autumn stew on Sunday with the onions and heirloom carrots from my garden, sweet potato and local, organic beef - all simmering in the crock pot - yum!

Monday I discovered these. There are just no words.... (I did not look at the nutritional info. I'm not crazy. I know that this is two days worth of calories. And honestly...I don't care.)

Today, I sent off a Halloween package to my friend at the Coast, and received one in my mailbox! Just loving the Halloween swag. I know - It's all about the Spirit of the season - but I do like the candy and the pumpkins. I just do.

Lastly, I've spent a few days trying to slip back in to my yoga and meditation practice. I feel like I've been running non-stop this entire month, so it's time to reconnect. I've also enjoyed hearing about everyone's Tarot journey - I've gleaned some great info from all of you!

I think that gets me up to date on my October activities ala Domestic Witch. She discovered another one of my favourite things today - Pumpkin Spice Lattes! You should really try to have one of these before they are gone!

Blessings!

Gasp! How on earth can there be so many pumpkins in one place? It's like heaven. A heaven I've never been to but am now dying to visit... drool.

Oh my. Yes. Two days of calories but I imagine it would be well worth it. I know where I'm going this week for my cheat day. >.>

Pumpkin spice lattes are also one of my favorite things, but alas - where I'm holed up now there isn't a starbucks anywhere around. The closest is over an hours drive. (I know, hard to believe - they are everywhere!) Thankfully though - there IS a dairy queen so, score. ;-)

And yes - I'm a huge fan of the candy and pumpkins and halloween costumes and witches hats too. If you can't have a bit of fun, then what are we here for?

Look at all those glorious Pumpkins! Yes, it must've been Heaven! :0) How can a person choose.....

And the stew sounds scrumptious! Now I'm hungry... must go fix breakfast!

Yes, if I ate one of those I don't think I would be able to eat anything else for at least a day. I want one, though! Why are there no DQ's near me?

Love the pumpkins! Honestly who doesn't like pumpkins? And candy, and costumes, and all the other fun Halloween stuff...

Oh, my. The stew sounds GLORIOUS!!! Can I have some? :) Lovely pumpkins all around. We've only gotten 3 this year (that's what we get for not growing them I guess...) Jack-o-Lanterns are my fave.

Yoga and meditation... yes, I think it's time for me to return also. Thanks for the reminder!

oh my goodness... I think I would go completely nuts at such a pumpkin patch as the one you found.... I already had 6 at home yet got a couple more while I was in Tennessee... Planning on attempting to plant the seeds next year so I can have my own... I am Pumpkin poor at this point.. yet honestly if I was where you were... I most definately would have gotten a few more.... They are beautiful

A pumpkin pie blizzard ~ yep that would be something to enjoy and not look at the calories! This time of year I love a cinnamon latte from Starbucks.
Hope you have a wonderful evening!

I saw that pumpkin pie blizzard advertised and nearly drooled on the ground! I think I'll get one just once!

I love anything pumpkin!! I got some pumpkin spice tea from Stash tea, it only comes in decaf, but I don't care it is so delicious with a bit of milk!

The pumpkin spice lattes are awesome, too!

Good luck with your meditation practices. I'm horrible at meditation. Those pumpkins look great and now I'm drooling for a blizzard! And a pumpkin one at that! I love pumpkin ice cream I get at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Fest in Nor Cal. So yummy!

These gorgeous seasonal photos are making me homesick! I miss heading down the Osoyoos/Keremeos way each year to pose, pick and play with the seemingly endless stacks of pumpkins and gourds at the fruit stands (especially Mariposa!). Growing up that was such a quintessential part of the fall and Halloween season experience for me.

Have a beautiful & serene week leading up to All Hallows, my friend!

Just look at all those pumpkins! I really wish we had a place like that around here. As far as I know, we really don't, darnit.

Okay...so 'fess up. Are those blizzards totally yummy? Me loves ice cream. And it shows in my booty. LOL

We're going to hopefully do a craft today from the book you sent if I have the appropriate materials. :D

Much love!
