Going through photos for the game of "tag" I came across the ones from our trip to the fruit stands for pumpkins last Autumn.
I love these photos - any photos, really - of Fall, and the harvest. I should print a few out to post on my fridge. They can serve to remind me of the abundance that comes each year, to those who wait so patiently (or less patiently, in my case) for the garden to give up it's bounty.
It's hard to remember that feeling of abundance, when we are on the cusp of blossoming. Every day I'm looking for new signs of life. I'm planting seeds with whispered prayers for good roots and fruitful growth. I'm brushing away the brown leaves, looking for green shoots. It's easy to forget in my searching, that in six short months, the storehouses will be full again.
I'm a firm believer in "living in the now" and experiencing each season as it comes, but there really is something to be said for being able to soak up that feeling of Autumn's abundance now and then.

~autumn is a wonderful time...cool crisp and yes an abundance of goodness...i am torn between spring and autumn which i do enjoy most...i l♥ve tending to my garden and seeing such come to life...patience...wishing and hoping for it to be now...so hard, especially for my littlest, who wants to see it now...where are they mama, where...may we all be adn enjoy the turning, waiting and watching the cycles that come...beautiful pics and brightest blessings~

I am so excited to be able to harvest our own vegetables this autumn. Our seedlings have started to sprout and there is excitement in that too.
perfect example of setting your intentions. what you plant in the spring is what you will harvest in the autumn. some sympathetic magic!
thank you thank you thank you for showing these pics. we are coming into my worst season...summer so it is nice to have sweet fall memories and dreams of the one to come. we are almost half way there!
I got my Halloween Tarot Deck today (which is funny because your photos are all of the Autumn) and LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! I can't wait to dig in and do some readings with them. They are just soooooooo much fun!
I'm with jaz, summer is my least favorite season, and we have so darn much of it here in Florida.
Fall is soft showing the earth colors warming my spirit. Pumpkins one and all say take me home. Squash want to be cooked and yummed up.

You know what I find amazing, for me anyway, is to be mentally called away to another season such as Autumn in the middle of another season, such as Spring or Summer. Things... like smells, something visual, tastes... all kinds of things combine and for a few moments, I am in another season. My favorite is Autumn too!! I love Austum for its dicotomy... abudance and death!!! Oowwww!!!
I loved that pumpkin picture... so many and so colorful... yea i am ready for spring yet always love autumn when it comes
gosh, now being as it is currently autumn where i live, i am inspired to hunt down the mythic orange pumpkin as you do not get them so much in new zealand, and see about carving it.. along with making pumpkin soup with cream.. nom nom..
