Vegas Witchy-ness

Although I didn't venture too far off the strip while in Vegas, I couldn't find any suitably witchy shops. I guess I'd have to go farther into the 'real' city for that. What I did see, was one very well-dressed Goth girl and her boyfriend, and this sandwich shop - with it's clever name!

I also noticed a plethora of skull and Day of the Dead bling and gifties, so I picked up a couple things to give away to my dark dearies here who read my little blog and are so generous with their comments!

Here are the couple cute skellies I found:

"Loungefly" Hair pins with D.o.t.D. skulls, black flowers & black hearts.
And, of course, with my ice cube tray obsession, I couldn't help picking up some "Bone Chillers." Who doesn't want a skull or crossbones in their drink this summer?

So, all you have to do is leave a comment here, and I'll draw a name in one week, on Thursday, April 22nd. (That's Earth day!)

Also, I just wanted to share that I'm officially signed up for the local Farmer/Artisan markets this summer with our Tarot/Reiki/Spiral Spirit products! I'm very excited, and the markets start May 1st, so the return of the "Farmers Market Saturdays" posts is coming soon!

I live in Las Vegas and I always joke that the facades of the cities of New York and Paris on the strip is not where the fake city ends, we are really a small town posing as a city! There really aren't that many great metaphysical shops here, and if you are really looking for some "witchy" authenticity you would want to travel out about 45 min to the Sekhmet Temple in Indian Springs, here's the link to their website: http://www.sekhmettemple.com/
If you're ever in Vegas again, drop me a line and look me up!
Good luck on your farmer's market venture.

When we lived there we liked the Psychic Eye. There was one close to our apartment off Sunset in Henderson. That was a few years ago, so not sure now. Aine, I got that sense too when we lived here, 2 blocks off the strip it might have been anywhere USA except for the slots in the grocery store! lol

I've aways wanted to visit there, and now that I hear there are so many metaphysical shops, I REALLY want to go. You know, with all the money I am saving from 9 months of not smoking, I should take myself a trip.

Thanks Aine & Hippie Witch for the heads up about Vegas. Aine - wish I'd know you were there, I'd have looked you up. It was such a whirlwind 4 days though! Hopefully I'll get back next year - it was a blast! Thanks for the link too!

I am absurdly in love with Vegas. Not the real Vegas, the Vegas of fantasy - the flashy lights, the castles and temples. The complete and total 'pretend' quality of the strip. A witch themed Hotel/Casino would be a dream come true.

I was afraid you might go and not want to come home after all the "glitz & Glamoure" of Vegas .... I guess you would have to come back and get Dex & Daisy though huh?

Need is such a strong word, but I'm going to have to throw it out there and say that I need a skull and crossbones ice cube tray. That is beyond wicked!
