Watiting Patiently for Summer

I hope everyone had an enchanting Midsummer eve last night.  I wasn't able to sit outside due to the rain, but I had a nice little meditation by my altar at midnight.  No fairy spottings - but I imagine they are somewhere warmer and drier.

I awoke at 5am to torrential rains, and almost stepped on a spider on the way to get a glass of water.  Instead, he got popped into the empty glass and tossed outside - poor bugger.  I just can't share my home (knowingly) with the crawly things - even on a rainy day.

I have a hard time believing this is the day when we will have the most light, when the sky is so grey above me.  I may have to drag out my Vitamin D again.

I hope you are all having a wonderfully sunny Midsummer day!  Please send some sun my way!

Bummer about the gloomy weather there... it should be a rule that the Solstice is always sunny and warm. Right?

We started out sunny but it's clouding up as the day goes on.
I'm hoping the rain holds off so we can still have our celebration bonfire tonight.

I managed to get outside for awhile...although very late. Couldn't spend as much time as I wanted to because of work today.

Sorry you've got a dreary day. Ours is supposed to change later this afternoon to cloudy skies.
The winde was horrible last night until about 10:30, then we went out had ritual and sat on the back porch swing and listened and watched. Magickal evening for the three generations of witch. The boys were all in bed and so we three celebrated the fae and mid summer and all it means.
pssssssst.... this morning we found a crystal where the fae table had been set. GK was tickled and pleased. The Olde Bagg

Happy solstice to all...it's just perfect here...not too hot , and we have had lots of rain so everything is very lush. Summer hasn't really arrived yet so it is a little disconcerting that it is heading towards winter once again. Sunny days ahead.....

We actually had sun and it was most welcome. The weather here has been very strange and we have been unseasonably damp and cold. I hope the day cleared and you got to enjoy some time in the sun, I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary

Hope the weather changes asap in your side of the world, Rue! Here we had a quiet and calm Yule, and the evening was cold as it must be at this time of the year here...
Oh, spiders... I'd freak out if I stepped again on one, arachnophobic that I am.

Happy Litha full of sun inside of you!

Kisses and love.

Rue I am so willing to send you this hot and humid weather. We have had thunder storms and 95 plus here. I so agree with the crawlers, don't mind sharing the yard, however the house is off limits. Wishing you a week full of sunshine!
