Farmers Market Saturday

The farmers market isn't just about the food. Each week I meet the wonderful people who grow the food that I take home. I always run into someone I know, dozens of dogs and countless kids taking in the market. It's a great place to connect!

This lovely video brings some of the focus to the people at the market, not just the wonderful haul you take home.

I'm going to one of our outdoor markets here -- as soon as we have a warm sunny Saturday!

I agree...it's always the best spot on a Saturday morning for good food and good friends!

I probably should go along to our local market again & have a look - a lot of the food was mass trucked in when I last went.
We get an organic vege box delivered to our back door & the garden supplies us so I forget about the market.
Loved the video - that little girl sure enjoyed her treat.

We have a huge market on 14th street in the city. Just too darned lazy to get my butt in gear on a Saturday and go.

We went to ours yesterday morning and there were only three vendors there. I guess the weather freaked them out. It was raining about 5 and then just stayed cloudy. Geesh I am hoping that next Saturday is better.

Thanks so much for coming and 'following' my blog -- I am delighted to find yours as well. I love the market film -- now I want to drive to town to go to ours!

It is NOT weird to walk the cats...I love to go walking with them and to get down and see life on their level...I promise to post photos of Francis fox and her kits soon...

I`love Farmer's Markets. There is a wonderful one twice a week on Block Island. I hope to visit it again this year.
