Land of the Fae

Here are a few pictures from my first Faerieworlds experience last weekend. They are taken with my meagre phone camera, so forgive any fuzziness.  You can click on the pics for a slightly larger view.  You won't find me or my wild Canadian crew in these pics, I'm afraid.  We were vastly under-dressed.  Next year - full faery wear, and pictures of us!  If you want to see some amazing (and professional) pictures - check out the Faerieworlds website.

It was a wonderful weekend - but a whirlwind!  It took us 11 hours to get from our little valley in British Columbia to Eugene Oregon.  Even though we had most of Saturday and all day Sunday, I still feel like I missed seeing many of the vendors.  The merchant area was massive!  Next year, we will spend more time (and I'm sure more money) exploring the land of the Fae at Faerieworlds.  We are hooked!

It reminds me of the society for creative anachronism...I am sure a few were there....jousting and feasting....such great fun and imagination!

This looks just like the renaissance faire we went to in Deerfield beach every year in Florida. My kids really miss going... it was a family tradition every February!

Rue, this looks so amazing. I shall try not to be jealous. We have been to a Ren Faire in Colo Springs and in Charlotte NC and the meager one here in NM, but this looks fabulous. So glad you made the trek and enjoyed yourself.

Wow...how very cool! I LOVE things like that. I wish they'd do something like that here in FL. I REALLY REALLY love that one 'Gypsy' style outfit that is blue and green. The crochet hip skirt on it is divine. Sounds like so much fun, but that is a LONG drive! Thanks so much for sharing this with the rest of us who are not fortunate enough to have this event close by. :o)

You're so lucky! I've been to the Oregon Country Fair once, and wish I could go again. If I were even a little closer (than Toronto!) I think I'd be a regular. Thanks for sharing a little of the wonder with us!

Great pictures. I love those kind of events. This past weekend we had a same kind of event here in The Netherlands. It is called Castlefest. Our son went there with his girlfriend. I'm sure he had a wonderful time too ; )
Have a great day.

It sounds like you had a great time. You might also enjoy the Oregon Country Fair that occurs in early July. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

What a riot! =D
I so badly want to go next year! Hopefully the missus and I will be able to make it. ^-^

This weekend we're going to the (sort of) local Ren Faire, and it's Fairy weekend! If we dress up, I'll make sure to post pics. ^-^

As for melting in Vegas, I think I'll be okay... but Britt will almost certainly be a gooey puddle all weekend... XD

XOXO

Went to a Renaissance fairs recently. If only I can figure out how to participate in the royal procession!
