The Great October Book Giveaway - The Witch's Eight Paths of Power

The book that will start us on our way this magical month is "The Witch's Eight Paths of Power" by Lady Sable Aradia.  I've had the pleasure of hearing Sable speak a few times at festivals, and she has a true passion for her path.  There have been two excellent interviews with Sable posted recently, one by Jason Mankey on his blog Raise the Horns, and one by Christopher Penczak, posted on his Pagan Square blog.  If you want to get to know Sable a bit, these interviews are a wonderful introduction.

This is her first book, published by Red Wheel/Weiser

From their site:

"In his Book of Shadows, Gerald Gardner writes about the witch’s Eightfold Way as a means of developing one’s magickal abilities. In this contemporary take on the Eightfold Way, author, Witch, and High Priestess Lady Sable Aradia invites readers to explore the eight different components of evolution in witchcraft.

Using exercises, meditations, and practical magick, any serious student of witchcraft will be able to master these eight paths and improve the effectiveness of their magickal work. From spells to sex rites to trance to flying ointments, Lady Sable has created a step-by-step guide to mastering the advanced arts of witchcraft.

Lady Sable Aradia is an initiated Third Degree High Priestess in the Star Sapphire and Pagans for Peace traditions and a licensed Wiccan minister. She has been teaching and advocating Witchcraft and magick for nearly twenty years. She is also a fantasy writer and a National Novel Writing Month winner. She lives in Vernon, BC, Canada."

I am very pleased to be giving away two copies of this book, written by my Valley neighbour to the north!  If you want in on the giveaway, please leave a comment below letting me know how we've bumped in to each other online (are you a blog reader, are we Facebook friends...see giveaway details/rules here) and make sure I have some way to contact you if you've won.

I will draw and post the names of the two winners on Saturday, October 4th at 9pm Pacific/Midnight Eastern time.

Good luck, and keep checking back all month.  There are 22 books to be had!

Pictures and text from "The Witch's Eight Paths of Power" are copyright and property of Lady Sable Aradia and Red Wheel/Weiser Books are only used on this post for the purpose of promoting the book.

We've rubbed URLs for many years now, darlin'. I'm intrigued by this Canadian (yay!) pagan author and will check out those interviews. Plus she won NaNoWriMo? Impressive!

Guess I found you on FB... or stumbled over one of your comments in a blog. Sorry, I am not good with the past, or the future... but the present is great, as long as there is coffee.

Oh my, how did we bump into one another on the blogosphere? I believe it was blogs at high noon and then we shared happy hour on facebook. It's been such a long time now, I'm now sure, but then that's probably because I too have been a long time. tee hee, Oma Linda
