May Fey Giveaway
I just love May. The warming of the earth and the re-awakening of the green. I've been planting optimistically in the raised garden beds and pots (no annuals or perennials yet.) My peas are nearly a foot high, and the lettuce can be eaten as I thin the rows to make room for larger heads. I have onion, raddish, carrots and swiss chard coming up.
I finally finished removing the rampant Larkspur from the flower beds (although I notice it has now populated parts of the lawn.) The flower garden is much happier it can breathe without the choking invaders and although my forget-me-nots didn't survive, the wiggly grass was rescued and moved in the hopes that it will have more room to grow.
A generous offering of milk and honey was left near the foxglove for the Fey. There is no reason for some of the wonderful plants I have, to grow so well in a 3/4 shade garden so it's them I thank for keeping my "full-sun" perennials coming back so beautifully every year in a small, shady, corner garden.
And as a gift to you, I offer my May giveaway. A gorgeous deck from Brian Froud, called "The Heart of Faerie Oracle." This lovely set includes a hardcover book that describes all the cards and their meanings and details how to use them, giving you options for spreads.
As usual, all you have to do is be or become a follower (or indicate that you have subscribed to the RSS feed.) Please also ensure you have a way for me to contact you via your own blog or email on your profile page. Leave a comment on this post, and you are set!
I will draw the winner of this lovely deck on the May full moon - Tuesday, May 17th.
May you be blesssed by the awakening Spring - and by the Fey!

Hi Jen! Please enter me in your giveaway. I wonder if the fae would so bless me if I make a small bed of flowers in a tucked away corner by my apartment building. Blessed be! ~Amy
Hello! Please enter me in your giveaway--I've been eyeing this deck for ages!
I love May too! I've been buying flowers at the grocery store every trip for the past few weeks...I love having flowers in my apartment. Makes up for the urban ugly outside.
The Froud oracle set is supposed to be gorgeous. Great giveaway!
oh oh oh me please!!!!
Enter me in too please!
I'm relying heavily on the husband this year in the garden. The Bean hasn't been to into gardening just yet; every time I start something garden related she gets a little bit restless and soon wants to eat. Babies! Go figure :)
I was going to be firm and not buy any new perennials this year, and cut back on my potted annuals. .and then I started working out in the garden. .my life is so chaotic right now, I feel totally at the mercy of everything going on around me. .it isn't my situation to control, but it affects me none the less. .but weeding and enjoying my plant friends is something I can take care of! And of course, like every year, I once again fall under their spell, and am already itching to get to the nurseries! I don't know why I make such empty hearted declarations. .I didn't believe it when I made it! lol
Your gorgeous Tarot Deck is a super lovely giveway, and I'd love to included in your drawing. Thank you SO much for offering it!
Of course I follow you, and I adore Brian Froud's work. My girls love to look through the Good Faeries/Bad Faeries book. Pick me, pick me!! :-)
A lovely post and a lovely deck! I especially love your offering near the foxglove :-)
I think I was already following you before, but I'm definitely following you now!
Please do enter me. I've not even begun my planting yet. Decided this year to have a container garden on my back porch, but we've had some pretty heavy winds here, so I've been waiting for it to die down.

It's funny that I was just thinking about getting a new deck and the fae have been flitting all around me lately. What a special giveaway. Definitely a follower of your blog and I subscribe to the blog with RSS as well...
Thank you for the great giveaway.
Please enter me in the give away.
I think it's awesome that your foxgloves return like that, definitely the Fae helping there.
I haven't begun any planting this season yet, but then it is I who will be transplanted myself when I move in a month from one state to another.
May blessings to you and may your garden grow in abundance.
May is such a beautiful time of year...I try to remember each year which flowers bloom first, second, etc, but must watch instead...started to clean out the flower beds...wow lot of work...please enter me in your giveaway...
Oh I'm a follower but DON'T enter me. I already own this and Brian's other deck. I just wanted to say what an AMAZING giveaway. Whoever wins it is going to be SO STOKED!!!

My garden is still in tiny pots on a rack in front of a window but I hope to have the garden ready by the first of June.
And Happy Star Wars Day! May the fourth be with you!
I love this deck! I've wanted to buy it for a while, but winning it would be great! I hope my veggies do well this year, its been a cool, wet spring.
I wish I could have foxglove! It's so lovely, but I'm afraid of the neighborhood kids getting into it.
And if you'd please add my name into the drawing, I'd appreciate it. I'm a follower and an RSSer. I agree with everyone that it's an awesome giveaway. And an absolutely amazing deck. :)
A devote follower here. =) I pick up and admire this deck every time we go to Barnes & Noble. Beautiful!
I soooo wanna win this one!!! I love this deck! *drool* Yes I'm a follower! ;) You can find my Mrs. Oddly blog here on blog spot: http://somethingoddly.blogspot.com/
My apartment complex landscapers just put foxglove in. Someone must have heard me say I wanted some but I have a small, curious child and won't get any for myself until he's older.
Good Luck to everyone! ( but I really want this one ;)
Oh Rue, what a generous giveaway! Please enter me as well. Congratulations on your wonderful garden. I know exactly what you mean about flowers flourishing in places they were not meant to as I have a few myself. Where would we be without the magical workings of the Fey?
A most generous giveaway! Please enter my name in the giveaway drawing.
Seeing the green of Spring is such a relief to winter weary eyes!
I am for sure a follower.
Fun giveaway! and love to hear about your garden.

I have no luck at all growing anything but "deep shade" flowers in our shady back yard, so maybe I need to ask for help from the Good Folk. And the Heart of Faerie Oracle might be just the thing to help!
This is the first year in many that I have had the space and the time to try my hand a gardening again. Before all my efforts were fruitless, I ended up letting everything die. But, I now have a small container herb garden doing quite nicely on my porch railing.
Please, please add me to your Give Away. I am a dedicated follower and absolutely love your blog.
I too seem to choose this set each time I go to the neighborhood Barnes & Nobel, just haven't found a spot in the budget for it so far.
Thanks for considering me,
V
Been following for a while now and have a link back on my blog. Love your stuff!

Oh me, me, me, me me please, i would love to be entered into the give away, i have never won anything in my life, so i would love to be in with a chance. Pixie x
Spring is not nearly as far ahead here, but soon I too will have swiss chard in my garden.
Avid follower right here! :) Speaking of which...please check your email, I sent you a message last night.
Have an awesome day!!
Been following for a while now and would love a chance to win this deck. Thanks!
ooooooooooooooo I would love to win this Rue! I read Brian Froud Faerie Oracles and I haven't seen this set yet. The art is so cool and whimsical and the oracles are my favorite deck and the one I reach for the most. Awesome GiveAway! :)
We have a very shady yard too. I've been considering raised beds, but with my limited green-thumb, I wasn't sure it would be worth it.
I've been watching your blog via googlereader for some time, but I decided to follow you tonight so I could be included in the giveaway. It looks like a beautiful set. :)
Sign me up!
I love your blog, dear. =)
I'm a bit sad I don't have a garden yet, hopefully when we move I'll have some space to plant some of my favourites. I still have my foxglove seeds, they need planting some time this may and they will bloom next year. I love foxgloves and so do the Faes :) Can we see some pictures of your garden in May?
Just found your lovely blog and I'm glad I did as it's a lovely blog.I would love to be entered into your giveaway.
Enter me, please. :)
