This is a pic of the waxing moon that I took last Wednesday as dusk was settling. I'm feeling really connected to this phase right now, and it's building energy. I find that I'm drawn to different phases during the year. Sometimes I crave the dark moon energy. Sometimes the full moon is too intense, and I wait for it to start waning. But right now - the waxing phase has been a great boon.
I'm grateful that I've been able to watch her grow this week. I've been fortunate to have a great sky view each night, except last night when it decided to snow.
I'm also grateful for the energy I have this week. My walks and/or yoga in the mornings have been really nurturing - I'm feeling really 'taken care of.' There must be some Spring stirring, because I'm feeling the energy!
I'm also feeling the generosity flying about. The Wizardess Epi, at Go Out Beneath The Naked Night is having a giveaway over at her blog. She was lucky enough to get to attend the Sacred Space Conference and take in some teaching by Christopher Penczak, Raven Grimassi, and Judika Illes. She is generously giving away a book by Judika as well as a few other lovely items. Pop over and give her blog a read while you are there!

You are fortunate to have a clear night so many days in a row.... The moon has been lovely as shes grown. Although it looks at times like we are in an endless winter, Spring is coming... the subtle signs are everywhere... I think the wait for her is a lesson in patience
"A few other lovely items" -- yeah, baby, yeah -- sweet octopus luuuuuuv!
~i have been embracing her as well and have almost the same picture just a darker sky...the moments of growth stir wonderful feeling and anticipation of what is to come...much to always be grateful for...brightest blessings~
I know what you mean about the moon, but the snow storms here have distracted me from it... tonight, snow or no snow, I will look up!
Beautiful picture.
I think many of us are feeling the energy building up.
What a great picture. I wish I had a camera that would work much better. Like last week, as I came down the stares from the subway, the moon was right there...so, so beautiful...and I so much wanted to share Her beauty.

Thanks for the plug, Rue! I appreciate!
Lovely pictures and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Always enjoy your posts!
Cheers!
I've been drawn to the moon lately as well and have taken several photos of her on the clear and sunny days we've had. It's nice to think that so many of us are appreciating her at the same time.
I'd like to be feeling some springtime energy right about now! :)
Oh Rue your picture is gorgeous! I like to wait to do the dishes until after the sun goes down. I can stand and do them while staring out at the moon.
(((HUGS)))
I love the new moon energy as much as the full, as I can feel Herne strongly during new moon. I think tonight is clear here, perhaps I'll go out and appreciate the waxing moon!
Hi Rue,
Great moon photo! :)
If you have a little extra energy, let it flow my way. Somehow, I could do with some more energy these days.
By the way, thanks for mentioning "Instant Magick" a while ago. I found an inexpensive copy at amazon.de -- from a British seller that is. It arrived a couple of days ago. I am looking forward to reading the book.
Hugs,
Birgit
PS: Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on my blog ever so often. I so enjoy hearing from you -- somehow, I feel a special connection.
I'm definitely feeling a sense of change in the air...of good change.
Glad your feeling so 'taken care of.' Goddess knows you deserve it immensely. :)
I may not have been able to see the moon much recently, what with all the clouds this end :s but there have certainly been some powerful cycles on the go at the moment. I myself am at a point in my life right now where I'm particularly feeling the approach of each dark moon. Blessings and love to you friend x
